The owners of Blends, three good friends with great experience in the field of hospitality, assigned us to design an all-day café/bar/restaurant, in Nymphon Sq. at the heart of Glyfada.
The large, corner plot, came with difficult ownership issues and a series of difficulties: half of the plot was occupied by an existing abandoned building that we were not allowed to demolish, and for the other half, any new construction had to be temporary and removable.
We designed a new, lightweight, double-story metal structure, reminiscent of a greenhouse and adjacent to the existing building. Blends comprises of many “neighborhoods”: from the double-height bar area, which is organized around the olive tree/trademark of Blends, the copper-colored coffee corner and the private cigar lounge on the upper level, to the exterior bar and tapas corner at the garden, every corner is designed to offer a different experience.
